Welcome back to the free ‘things to do’ series! Our last post featured Baltimore and you guys loved it so much you gave us lots of city suggestions and we heard you! So, this time we are focusing on the glitzy and glamourous sin city, Las Vegas.

Las Vegas is notorious for being an expensive city. Hotels, attractions, and shows can definitely make a dent in your wallet. But did you know there are also plenty of things to do that won’t cost you a penny. Here are some of our favorites located on the Las Vegas Strip:

Pink Furry Friends at the Flamingo Hotel

The Wildlife Habitat at the Flamingo Hotel is home is a flock of vibrant flamingos, two pelicans, exotic fish, elegant swans, and adorable turtles.

This beautiful habitat is open daily from dusk to dawn. To make the experience extra special plan your visit to coincide with the Pelican feeds which takes place at 08:30 and 14:00.

Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

Open 24/7, the Bellagio Hotel has a free to enter the conservatory and botanical gardens. It is a popular attraction, so it’s best to arrive early in the day to avoid the crowds and to get the best photos. It’s especially good during the holiday season as it is decorated seasonally and at Christmas, they go all out!

Fountains at Bellagio

In front of the Bellagio, is a wonderful and iconic, 3-5-minute water show. We suggest watching the show in the day and at night, as there are a few different shows on display.

They range from delicate masterpieces to dramatic and commanding performances and the soundtrack often changes. There are currently 21 songs in rotation, including classics Fly Me To The Moon and Singin ́in the Rain and modern hits Bad Romance and Uptown Funk.

Seven Magic Mountains

Outside of the city and free to view is the art piece, Seven Magic Mountains, designed by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone. Unfortunately, it’s quite hard to get to as it is in the middle of the desert. But it’s the landscape that adds to the drama.

If you love art, this is not to be missed. The seven fluorescent towers stand between 30 and 35 feet tall and cost $3.5 million.
