Explore Tallahassee, Florida: Abandoned Cement Factory

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Located between Blountstown Highway and Capital Circle SW, near W. Pensacola St., lies an abandoned cement factory just waiting for you to explore it.

How to Get to The Abandoned Cement Factory, Tallahassee

To discover the factory, you first need to drive to a nearby location and then walk. So, we advise you to wear some sturdy shoes, definitely with closed toes. For safety reasons, don’t leave any valuables in the car.
There are two business lots on Pensacola St. (Tallahassee Power Sports is one). Park your car in an area that doesn’t have any restrictive parking. When you are ready to start your walking adventure, proceed towards and then through the woods next to Pensacola St. Then be prepared to feel like you have stepped into a scene from the 1986 movie ‘Stand by Me.’

There is a path through the woods for you to follow, stick to it! When you reach the railroad, head North along the tracks. After a while, the cement factory will appear on the right-hand side.

Who Should Visit the Abandoned Cement/Asphalt Factory?

This hidden gem is available to all, but everyone may not appreciate it. Those who love an adventure must make this a stopping point when they pass through Tallahassee. A must see for all fans of the post-apocalyptic era, for example, the TV show The Walking Dead. This will be a great day out.
Also, anyone interested in photography and those looking for something a little different and off the beaten track should also visit this secret landmark.
