This beachfront area in West Los Angeles is a great place to spend the day. Santa Monica has a wonderful beach to enjoy the year-round warm weather. When visiting between November and April get tickets to watch the incredible LA Lakers, the local basketball team, at The Staples Center. LA is home to just as many TV studios as movie studios. Being in a live studio audience is a once in a lifetime opportunity as tickets can be hard to come by. Visit the La Brea Tar Pits
